10th Annual Legs Diamond Open Golf Tournament (to benefit our Tech Valley Youth Golf Program)
For eight years, Greene International Golf Association and its 7 member golf courses have been able to capitalize on the notoriety of Legs Diamond who maintained a compound in our Catskills.  Each year we have taken the profits from this event, used them as matching funds for USGA, LPGA and PGA grants.
As a result, we have trained over 8,000 youth and provided over 2,000 sets of golf clubs.  We are now seeing the anticipated results of that effort as the early participants are now young adults playing our golf courses!  Help make this year our best event ever.
The tournament will be held on Saturday, July 21st at Thunderhart Golf Club (518/634-7816; www.thunderhartgolf.com) with the following schedule:
Noon – 1:00pm FULL lunch/registration
1:00 – 6:00pm golf
6:00 – 7:00pm cocktail hour/beginning of dinner

Tech Valley Youth Golf Fund Raising Evening
On Wednesday evening, August 22nd with our partner, Saratoga National Golf Club, Tech Valley Youth Golf will hold its major fund raising event at the Club.  We expect to have a lot of fun while we raise money for this great program.  Expect to enjoy fine dining and dancing, gambling, the best silent auction items in the region and a night to remember.  All this to benefit the great work of our Tech Valley Youth Golf Program serving the 19 counties of Tech Valley.

For the past ten years, this program has taken youth with no knowledge of the character-building game of golf all the way to competitive level golf and golf scholarships to college.  The experience has polished youth in the areas of honesty, dedication, fair play, the reward of achieving results with hard work, team efforts and social skills as well as etiquette and respect for property. This program endorsed by the United States Golf Association (USGA), the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) and the Professional Golf Association (PGA) now has components that include, introductory lessons, intra-county competitions, inter-county competitions, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) demonstrations on actual golf courses and access to golf scholarships to college.
Monies that are raised by this event will be used as matching dollars for private and public funding, doubling and tripling the funds that grow this great program.
Register now to be included in this great event as it is expected to be sold out early.  Click here for registration page.

About Christman’s Windham House

Conveniently located just three hours north of New York City and a half day’s drive from Boston, and Philadelphia, Christman's Windham House is a complete country resort set on 300 acres of lush lawn and woodland. Surrounding the historic inn, five Colonial-style buildings accommodate guests in modern facilities while preserving the setting's rural charm. Guests have access to the property’s two inviting golf courses: the 7,072-yard Mountain Course and the executive, nine-hole Valley 9. Winter at Christman’s Windham House brings some of the state’s best snow, and with it, droves of skiers who’ve taken advantage of the resort’s prime location in the Catskills.
The Windham House -- one of the Upstate’s true historic gems -- has been offering warm hospitality to its guests for more than 200 years. The handsome Greek revival inn, opened in 1805, is the oldest continuously operating Inn in the Catskill Mountains. Inside the original Inn, drovers found hearty food and warm spirits for the long haul, herding cattle and sheep up and down the rugged roads. At one time the Windham House was the headquarters for the Catskill-Delhi stagecoach line.
